These decorative dessert plates feature the famous Meissen onion pattern. Throughout his life, Saxony's elector, "August the Strong", was particularly fond of blue-painted dinner services, special porcelain, hand-painted based on the Chinese model. He asked for equivalent tableware from his factory. These plates are the stage for elaborate decors, hand-painted on fine porcelain, a work of art and tableware in one.
